- Sunday final edition: pre-lock inactives and nearby London weather checked.
The story: The saved final review reports every player in the three model builds active; no roster changes were made.
What still matters: Active does not mean an unrestricted workload. This is the retained pre-lock analysis; it does not contain live results or a fresh post-lock news check.
Go to the analysis →From the Editor’s Couch
Looks like I picked the wrong morning to quit sniffing glue.
Pour the coffee: Philadelphia is short on weapons, Jacksonville is favored, and the touchdowns can still land three very different ways.
Green Bay sucks in every time zone.
No roster changes. Rothstein stays $49,600; Gut Check stays $47,800 with Wicks. Every player in A, B and C is active. Active status confirms eligibility, not an unrestricted workload.
New confirmations: Greenard is out for Philadelphia; Murray is out for Jacksonville. Goedert, Wicks and Shipley are active. Shipley still shares an available backfield with Pierce and Steele. No credible new snap cap was found for Goedert or Wicks.
Weather: London’s 2–5 p.m. forecast: 15°C / 59°F, rain below 5%, wind 2 mph, gusts 8–9 mph. This is a nearby city forecast, not a stadium measurement. Keep the passing and kicker plays.
Final model review: Jacksonville’s defensive absences leave room for Philadelphia’s receiving response. Greenard’s absence helps Jacksonville’s offense without determining whether the backfield or receivers score.

Why Male Models?
Pick the game script you believe. Each model gives you a lineup and a pivot to make it your own.
Rothstein Model
There are three ways of doing things around here: the right way, the wrong way, and the way I do it.
Picture JAX 27–17. Lawrence throws multiple touchdowns, Washington leads the receiving scoring, and Philly does enough to keep Jacksonville passing. Sunday’s Action Network odds page shows JAX −7.5 and 41.5. It supports a Jaguars win; this model bets on passing touchdowns, not heavy passing volume. The aggregated quote is not a guaranteed live price at your book.
- Trevor Lawrence$10,000
- Jakobi Meyers$7,400
- Dallas Goedert$6,200
- Will Shipley$8,000
- Darius Cooper$4,200
Why it fits: Washington–Lawrence–Meyers concentrates on Jaguars passing production. Goedert and Shipley supply Philly’s usage; Cooper is the cheaper receiving bet.
What ruins it: Jacksonville’s backs take the touchdowns, or Washington is covered while Lawrence spreads the ball. Cooper’s two touchdowns last week came on only three catches; Goedert’s return adds competition.
Han Solo Model
Never tell me the odds.
Picture JAX 20–17. Philly beats expectations and hangs around. Jacksonville finds a way to win an ugly football game. Barkley, Smith and Hollywood Brown are out, but Goedert’s return gives Hurts a scoring outlet. The 42-game UK/Dublin audit split evenly on totals: this low-scoring bet comes from the matchup, not the passport. Research ↓
- Jalen Hurts$10,800
- Bhayshul Tuten$8,800
- Jakobi Meyers$7,400
- Cam Little$5,400
- Jake Elliott$5,000
Why it fits: Goedert catches the Eagles’ scoring response, Hurts adds rushing points, and both kickers turn stalled drives into production. Tuten and Meyers cover Jacksonville’s main offensive paths.
What ruins it: Goedert has limited snaps, Hurts keeps the touchdowns, or drives end in punts. Meyers → Washington costs $1,800 ($48,500 total): more Washington exposure, but his price does not establish a better play. The base keeps Meyers.
Gut Check Model
Yeah, well, you know, that's just, like, my opinion, man.
Picture JAX 23–13. Philly competes early. Protection problems eventually hand Jacksonville enough field position for Tuten to finish and Little to clean up. Jacksonville arrived Friday; Philly planned a Saturday arrival. That favors more settling time for the Jags, without establishing a scoring adjustment.
- Trevor Lawrence$10,000
- Jaguars$5,200
- Cam Little$5,400
- Dallas Goedert$6,200
- Dontayvion Wicks$7,800
Why it fits: Tuten gets the multiplier; the Jaguars DST and Little cover turnovers and stalled drives. Lawrence supplies passing points, while Goedert and Wicks collect Eagles receiving production.
What ruins it: Rodriguez takes the goal-line work, or Jacksonville’s receivers score everything. Wicks needs routes and catches despite his recent hamstring issue.
We Were on a Break!
Three Captains. One tight end invited to every party.
Goedert appears in all three. His return and snap count are our biggest shared assumption. Choosing different Captains does not remove that risk.
| If you choose… | You are betting on… | Shared players |
|---|---|---|
| A + B | Passing win + ugly escape | Goedert, Meyers |
| A + C | Jaguars passing + rushing | Lawrence, Goedert |
| B + C | Two modest-scoring outcomes | Goedert, Tuten, Little |
Everybody’s Got a Guy
Shipley gets the opportunity. We still have to judge the price.
At $8,000, Shipley needs more than “Barkley is out.” With Barkley out, Shipley is expected to lead the backfield. A buys that opportunity; B and C spend elsewhere. Last week: six carries for 23 yards, with no catches in the box score. Receiving volume is an assumption, not an established floor. Pierce and Steele add rotation uncertainty; Hurts can take the goal-line points.
No verified ownership forecast yet. These are scoring choices, not proven contrarian plays. Leaving salary unused does not guarantee uniqueness.

Set an alarm. London does not care that you were making pancakes.
- Completed: official inactives checked. All base and pivot players are active; Goedert and Wicks have no newly verified snap cap.
- Completed: hourly weather, Sunday market reference and salary/ID checks. No automatic swap was triggered; workload uncertainty remains.
- 8:30 a.m. Central: correct Captain, legal salary and correct lineup in each contest.

Planes, Trains & Touchdown BetsInternational totals, arrival timing and team records
The passport is real. The automatic under is a story we still have to prove.
Fantasy Index, October 18, 2025. Historical window ends before that weekend’s Rams–Jaguars game; not an up-to-date all-country database.
Arrival days in Britain. Both teams travel east from the Eastern time zone.
London does not automatically mean low scoring. Fantasy Index’s game-level audit found 22 points per team on average; summed scoring and posted totals differed by only 5.5 points across 42 games. That is about 0.13 points per game in absolute aggregate difference. The market was already allowing for the environment. Read the audit →
| UK games | Over | Under | Takeaway |
|---|---|---|---|
| 2022 | 2 | 1 | No consistent under pattern |
| 2023 | 0 | 3 | A low-scoring year, not a permanent rule |
| 2024 | 2 | 1 | Pattern reversed |
Counts above calculated from the audit’s listed results and totals. Different books and closing times can change individual classifications. The UK sample is more relevant here than pooling London with Brazil, Mexico or Australia, where kickoff clocks, altitude and travel differ.
Philadelphia and Jacksonville records are reported by their official team sites before this matchup. Chicago’s record is calculated from the three results in the historical audit. These are straight-up records, not records against the spread.
Travel fatigue and jet lag are different. A 2026 review of 89 studies found effects on sleep, fatigue, coordination and performance, with substantial variation and study-quality limitations. This supports checking travel preparation. It does not supply a validated NFL points adjustment, or tell us that offense suffers more than defense.
Why wait to travel? Extra access to home treatment facilities is plausible, but we have not verified that as Philadelphia’s stated reason. Sirianni publicly emphasized the preparation schedule and what he believed best for the team. Healing time continues abroad; waiting does not itself add healing days.
The kickoff clock: 2:30 p.m. London is 9:30 a.m. Eastern for both teams before adaptation. Neither has the extra West Coast body-clock disadvantage. Jacksonville arrived Friday and practiced that afternoon; Philadelphia planned a seven-hour Friday flight and Saturday-morning arrival. Earlier arrival offers more settling time, while late arrival preserves more of the home practice routine. No controlled comparison here establishes which strategy wins.
Do not import last year’s second-week advantage. This is Jacksonville’s first London game of this trip. Staying abroad may matter for next week; the Jaguars have not already spent a full game week acclimating before facing Philadelphia.
The stadium matters more than the country label. Tottenham uses a dedicated artificial NFL surface under its retractable soccer grass. We should not import a Wembley wet-grass story. Check actual wind and precipitation. “JAX home” is a scheduling designation, not permission to add an ordinary Jacksonville home-field bonus.

A separate Covers summary reports an under lean in a broader sample, but its scope is not sufficiently reconciled to treat it as a fresh London-only database. No claimed travel betting edge, first-quarter trend or player-specific international projection is fitted here. Historical roster changes, opponent strength and bookmaker pricing all confound simple team records.
The Workload CheckWhat supports the models—and what still needs judgment
Tuten: 15, 13, 15 and 17 carries; seven catches across four games. Stable lead volume, not exclusive touchdowns. Rodriguez’s Week 4 rushing score was a 25-yard run; that does not establish a goal-line share.
Washington: leads Jacksonville with 16 catches, 228 yards and two touchdowns. Meyers has 13/165/2; Strange 14/167/1. Jacksonville distributes production. Rothstein needs Washington’s scoring ceiling, not a guaranteed target monopoly.
Goedert: full practice Friday and no game designation. No verified snap cap, but the return is still a workload question. Ertz was elevated Saturday after 32 offensive snaps across the last two games.
Cooper: three catches, 33 yards and two touchdowns last week. Cheap scoring access, with touchdown variance and a returning tight end competing for work. Exact route and snap shares remain unverified.
Final construction comparison: A’s Meyers-Captain alternative is $48,700, but there is no new workload evidence to move Washington out of Captain. C’s Shipley alternative is $48,000; it restores the same Eagles back to multiple models. Keep Wicks at $47,800. Han Solo remains the reader’s close-game option, not a third personal entry.
Counterpoint: Saturday’s Action Network prop analysis favors under 30.5 Lawrence attempts and under 37.5 Shipley rushing yards. Those are analyst opinions and dated prop quotes, not DFS projections or new role reports. They reinforce our volume concerns; A still needs efficient passing touchdowns and Shipley catches or scoring. Read the opposing case →
Comparison: A buys passing touchdowns; C buys rushing, defense and field position. Both contain Lawrence and Goedert. Shipley stays in A; Wicks replaces him in C. That splits the Eagles rushing and receiving bets, while adding Wicks’ own hamstring uncertainty. Use the saved fallback if he is inactive or credibly restricted.
