The Long Night

The Long Night: Caleb Williams imagined as the Night King on an ice dragon above a Bears-clad wight army approaching Seattle, with the Space Needle and Lumen Field behind them.

From the Editor’s Couch

The North brought company.

Somewhere between bedtime and the first third-and-long, a perfectly reasonable Bears fan decided Caleb needed an ice dragon. Seattle has the crowd. We brought the special effects.

Han sees a huge JSN night and Caleb getting the last drive right, 27–24. Rothstein has Seattle. Stringer would like both offenses to stop short of the end zone. Nobody gets to choose the cast after the credits.

Why Male Models?

Three stories. Six complete casts.

Rothstein follows the market. Han follows the Editor’s read. Stringer Bell brings Wrench’s lower-touchdown alternative. Each gets a visible Core and a narrower Touchdown Bet. Six useful jobs still have to fit together.

Preview constructions · Supplied game-specific export prices and slots checked. Final inactives, workload news and the actual app deadline remain due. Final review target: 6:15 p.m. Central.

Market Read

Rothstein

There are three ways of doing things around here: the right way, the wrong way, and the way I do it.
Seattle 24–21

Seattle is favored by three in a 46.5-total game. Rothstein keeps the earlier 24–21 illustration: JSN leads the receiving work, Seattle’s other pass catchers contribute, and Chicago stays close enough to keep accumulating. The market arithmetic is 24.75–21.75; the story score is not a fitted forecast.[11]

The Core buys both quarterbacks beside JSN, Kupp, Barner and Horton. That is five Seahawks in a close game, with a real shared dependency on Seattle’s passing distribution. Horton’s opening comes from Shaheed’s absence; five season catches do not establish tonight’s target count.[5] [8]

The useful connection

Quarterback points can reach more than one receiver. The Core pays for Chicago’s passing answer; the Bet pays for Swift and Seattle kicking.

Touchdown Bet $50,000 · Jaxon Smith-Njigba CPT

The scoring condition: Chicago’s touchdowns lean more heavily toward Swift, while JSN still leads Seattle’s receiving finishes and Myers collects a drive that stalls. Swift can score on the ground or through a catch that also pays his quarterback.

Caleb and Kupp become Swift and Myers for $200 more. The supplied projection sum falls by 0.78. JSN, Darnold, Barner and Horton stay together; this alternate earns its place through that different scoring allocation.

How it breaksA quiet JSN night or Seattle distributing its production to the returning backs can hurt both. Extra playing time for Horton still has to become useful receiving work.

Editor’s Pick

Han Solo

Never tell me the odds.
Chicago 27–24

JSN has his big night. Caleb gets the last drive. Chicago gets the ball back with a chance to win, and Williams brings the Bears home, 27–24. That is Han’s finish and score; the exact touchdown recipients remain conditional.

The Core keeps Caleb, Swift and JSN together, with Raymond providing an established Chicago receiving job. The 51-point story is 4.5 above the reference total. Seattle’s reported pass-defense results make this an ambitious read, even after Caleb’s two straight 300-yard games.[1] [11]

The useful connection

Caleb captures the winning passing drive without requiring one particular receiver to catch the winner. Swift’s rushing and receiving work can coexist with it.

Touchdown Bet $49,900 · Caleb Williams CPT

The scoring condition: Chicago’s important receiving finishes land with Burden and Loveland. Caleb takes Captain, and both receivers fit beside JSN, Barner and Roush. A winner to Odunze changes the return on that concentration.

This $49,900 six gives up 10.48 on the supplied projection sum versus Han Core. Roush is the uncertain value bridge: Kmet’s absence supports more reps, while Roush’s three season catches remain a modest production base.[6] [7]

The same six with JSN at Captain would cost $50,800. A legal JSN version requires rebuilding the supporting five.

How it breaksSeattle’s defense can derail the winning-drive story. The receiver-heavy Bet can also miss a Bears win if Swift, Odunze or another Bear receives the scoring work.

The constructionCore is the main six. The Bet asks for a narrower scoring path. Neither label establishes a statistical floor.

Wrench’s Pick

Stringer Bell

…too many forty-degree days.
Seattle 19–16

Stringer would like a word with everyone expecting a touchdown montage. Seattle gets one offensive touchdown and four field goals; Chicago answers with one touchdown and three field goals. Seattle 19, Chicago 16.

This lower-touchdown path keeps Myers at Captain with Santos, useful receiving work and Swift. Seattle’s defense supports the stalled-drive case. Cross’s absence and Chicago’s returning pass-rush help also give Seattle’s offense something to solve. Wrench is the AI research sidekick behind this third read.[2] [5] [1]

The useful connection

Field goals and receiving yards can accumulate while touchdowns stay scarce. The pressure case does not require a defensive return score.

Touchdown Bet $49,300 · Jason Myers CPT

The scoring condition: Chicago’s lone touchdown becomes a Swift reception, crediting both Swift and Caleb. Seattle’s defense adds sacks or turnovers while keeping Chicago short of another finish. Myers still needs repeated field-goal chances.

Caleb and Seattle DST replace Darnold and Kupp for $200 more, giving up 2.70 on the supplied projection sum. This sacrifices the Darnold–Kupp connection to buy the receiving-back overlap and defensive events. Nwosu’s doubtful status remains relevant to the pressure assumption.[4]

How it breaksTouchdowns replacing field goals can beat the Myers Captain. Punts can also end drives without paying either kicker. All six public builds still share JSN.

Spend Like You Have a Mortgage

The other five still matter.

Captain changes the bill.

Han’s receiving Bet uses Caleb, JSN, Burden, Loveland, Barner and Roush. Moving the premium slot changes the total below. A cheaper Captain needs the scoring role to justify it.

The cap is a ceiling.

Han Core leaves $1,000; Stringer Core leaves $900. Useful receiving work earns its place before an extra salary dollar does. Unspent salary alone does not establish uniqueness.

Everybody’s Got a Guy

Different stories. Familiar faces.

JSN appears in all six editorial rosters, three times at Captain. Caleb, Swift and Barner each appear four times. A quiet JSN night reaches every story, and different character names do not create independent outcomes.

November 2 midday review. Player output stops at Week 7; individual source dates and unresolved definitions remain visible below. The six roster constructions retain their earlier research freeze.

Availability, changing jobs and receiving evidence

Chicago: Monangai is out; Kmet is on IR. Loveland has no game designation. Muhammad and D’Marco Jackson are questionable. Seattle: Cross, Shaheed and Velus Jones are out; Nwosu is doubtful. Bradford, Lock, O’Connell and Pili are questionable. Final inactives remain pending.[3] [4] [22]

Charbonnet is confirmed to return. Price is medically cleared but an active-roster move still needs confirmation. Josh Jones starts at left tackle for Cross. Those changes keep Seattle’s backfield distribution and protection in the final review.[5]

Current offensive and defensive play callers
TeamOffensive callerOCDefensive caller / DC
ChicagoBen JohnsonPress TaylorDennis Allen / Dennis Allen

Chicago’s current offensive and defensive calls are attributed to Johnson and Allen. Fleury calls Seattle’s offense; Macdonald retains regular-season defensive calls, with Durde serving as coordinator.[15] [16] [17] [18]

Johnson’s Detroit offense lost 38–6 to Macdonald’s Baltimore defense on October 22, 2023, then beat Macdonald’s Seattle defense 42–29 on September 30, 2024. Seattle was missing four key defensive linemen/edges in the latter meeting. Different personnel and opposite results support discussing adjustments, not assigning a historical coaching multiplier. Fleury was not Seattle’s offensive caller in 2024.[19] [20] [17]
