Paris gave us Pittsburgh, 16–10. Rothstein’s TD card led our six at 73.04, but Warren at Captain still needed five friends. Receiving backs and the low-touchdown game deserved a fuller seat at the table.

Tonight Han wants a defensive fight and a few more plays from the Chiefs. Rothstein keeps the market receipt. Wrench sends Stringer Bell through Seattle’s pass rush. Three stories, six complete rosters. Everybody still has to catch the ball.

Kansas City has replacement protection to handle Seattle’s front. Han sees the Chiefs making the deciding plays; Stringer sees pressure keeping Kansas City behind schedule. JSN’s concentrated work matters in either ending.

Wind remains light. Rain is possible, but the forecast fields disagree on an exact chance. That does not justify importing Paris’s wind penalty or imposing a universal passing discount.

Final inactive review: all players on these six cards clear the reported list. Rice and Charbonnet remain unavailable; Sneed and Seattle’s previously uncertain defenders are active. Wiley is also active, adding a fourth available KC tight end without establishing a workload restriction for Kelce.

Checked 6:54 p.m. Central. Final warmup observations remain unverified. Source receipts below.

01

Core

2 KC / 4 SEA · 0 QB

Worthy buys the whole supporting cast. JSN and Walker supply primary opportunity, Myers the stalled drives, and Holani and Barner the complementary receiving paths. No quarterback means giving up passing yards, rushing and bonuses.

SlotPlayerSalary
CPTXavier Worthy KC$10,500
FLEXKenneth Walker III KC$12,000

FLEXJason Myers SEA$5,200
FLEXGeorge Holani SEA$4,400
FLEXAJ Barner SEA$4,600
Total $48,300Unused $1,700

What breaks it: Worthy’s role can shrink, Holani can block instead of catch, JSN can be contained and field goals can become touchdowns.

02

Touchdown Bet

2 KC / 4 SEA · 1 QB

Exchange Walker and Holani for Darnold and Kelce. The complete pair costs $1,000 more. The branch gives Worthy two receiving scores; Darnold covers Seattle passing beyond JSN, with Kelce’s opposing receiving role.

SlotPlayerSalary
CPTXavier Worthy KC$10,500

FLEXTravis Kelce KC$8,000
FLEXJason Myers SEA$5,200
FLEXAJ Barner SEA$4,600

What breaks it: KC rushing scores, limited Kelce work or Seattle’s failed passing attack can defeat this six. Walker’s rushing/receiving and Holani’s catch path are surrendered.

Editor’s Pick

Han Solo

“Defensive battle with the Chiefs making a few more plays to secure a hard fought victory.” — Han’s supplied read

Kansas City 20–16Wrench’s working score · Han supplied no exact score

A hard-fought win. A few more Chiefs plays.

Han’s actual read is a defensive battle and a Chiefs win. Wrench uses 20–16 to illustrate it; Han supplied no exact score. The revised Core buys Kelce’s receiving role, while the alternate tests a Chiefs defensive score.

01

Core

4 KC / 2 SEA · 0 QB

Keep the Chiefs win. Buy the receiving work. JSN takes Captain with Walker in FLEX. Kelce and Emmett replace Butker and Holani. That whole exchange costs $1,600 more and captures KC’s primary TE plus the backup back’s documented work.

SlotPlayerSalary
CPTJaxon Smith-Njigba SEA$17,400
FLEXKenneth Walker III KC$12,000
FLEXTravis Kelce KC$8,000
FLEXJason Myers SEA$5,200
FLEXKC DST KC$3,800
FLEXEmmett Johnson KC$3,000
Total $49,400Unused $600

What breaks it: This gives up a second kicker and some lower-TD resilience. Emmett is a small role, JSN is the shared premium, and Kelce’s ankle remains a workload risk.

02

Touchdown Bet

4 KC / 2 SEA · 0 QB

One defensive play changes the ending. Kansas City DST takes Captain with Walker, JSN, Kelce, Worthy and Myers. The explicit branch replaces a KC rushing touchdown with a defensive return touchdown at the same KC 20–16 score.

SlotPlayerSalary
CPTKC DST KC$5,700
FLEXKenneth Walker III KC$12,000

FLEXTravis Kelce KC$8,000
FLEXXavier Worthy KC$7,000
FLEXJason Myers SEA$5,200
Total $49,500Unused $500

What breaks it: A return touchdown is narrow and is not assumed in Core. Sacks and turnovers alone may not make DST Captain the right six; all five supporting roles still matter.

Wrench’s Pick

Stringer Bell

A Seattle pressure alternative by Wrench, our AI research sidekick.

Seattle 20–13Authored score illustration

Run the corners. Own the pressure.

Wrench’s Seattle alternative starts with the front against KC’s replacement protection, then JSN’s concentrated production. It does not require two touchdowns from a secondary receiver.

01

Core

1 KC / 5 SEA · 1 QB

Seattle wins with pressure and its primary receiver. JSN Captain pairs with Darnold, both active Seattle backs and the Seahawks defense. Kelce supplies the opposing receiving score. Five Seahawks to one Chief deliberately concentrates on Seattle control.

SlotPlayerSalary
CPTJaxon Smith-Njigba SEA$17,400
FLEXSam Darnold SEA$9,400
FLEXTravis Kelce KC$8,000
FLEXEmanuel Wilson SEA$6,400
FLEXGeorge Holani SEA$4,400
FLEXSEA DST SEA$4,200
Total $49,800Unused $200

What breaks it: Holani may protect instead of catch; Wilson and Holani compete for touches. A contained JSN or KC control can sink the same five together.

02

Touchdown Bet

3 KC / 3 SEA · 0 QB

Pressure supplies the touchdown. The five supply the rest. Seattle DST takes Captain. Walker and Butker replace Darnold and Wilson alongside JSN, Kelce and Myers. The branch turns Seattle’s rushing TD into a defensive return score at the same 20–13 total.

SlotPlayerSalary
CPTSEA DST SEA$6,300
FLEXKenneth Walker III KC$12,000
FLEXJaxon Smith-Njigba SEA$11,600
FLEXTravis Kelce KC$8,000
FLEXJason Myers SEA$5,200
FLEXHarrison Butker KC$4,800
Total $47,900Unused $2,100

What breaks it: It gives up Seattle QB/rushing-score access and needs a narrow defensive score. Opposing Walker/Kelce can still earn yards and catches in a Chiefs loss, but a KC scoring surge hurts the defense.

We Were On a Break!

The names change.
The risks overlap.

JSN appears in all six cards. Walker appears four times. Kelce and Myers each appear five times. Character names do not protect the group from shared missing catches, rushing work or field goals.

Han Core buys Kelce/Emmett in place of Butker/Holani and moves JSN to Captain. Stringer Core deliberately concentrates five Seahawks; its defensive-TD branch changes the full supporting pair, surrendering Darnold/Wilson for Walker/Butker. Read all five FLEX spots.

Everybody’s Got a Guy

Routes still need catches.

Holani’s recent pass-protection snaps did not become receptions. Wilson’s rushing work and Holani’s receiving role compete inside Seattle’s backfield; the new blocking-role stress makes that risk visible.

Emmett is a documented backup rushing/receiving role with Brashard Smith unavailable, not a promise of targets. Current Captain/FLEX ownership and fresh outside point projections remain unknown. No ownership bar has been invented from a salary-file average.

Rothstein: Seattle two TDs and three field goals, KC two TDs and two field goals. Han: KC two TDs/two field goals, Seattle one TD/three field goals. Stringer: Seattle one passing and one rushing TD/two field goals, KC one passing TD/two field goals.

Each defensive-TD branch removes one rushing touchdown and adds one defensive return touchdown; the scoreboard stays unchanged. Captain salary and points multiply once. DST points allowed excludes the opposing defensive touchdown’s six points but includes its PAT.

All six stay fixed across columns. The extra Holani-blocking stress assigns his targets, catches, receiving yards and receiving TDs to Barner without changing team totals. Those point changes are conditional sensitivities, not calibrated predictions.

The full-roster decisions and alternatives

Han Core’s complete revision is Walker CPT / JSN / Myers / Butker / Holani / KC DST ($47,800) → JSN CPT / Walker / Kelce / Myers / KC DST / Emmett ($49,400). It rises 94.95 → 100.20 in the Han example but falls 88.35 → 83.15 in KC’s lower 13–10 example. The choice buys Kelce and reduces dependence on Holani catches; it adds Emmett’s smaller role and greater JSN dependence.

Stringer Core moves Seattle DST to FLEX and JSN to Captain, exchanging Myers for Wilson: $44,900 → $49,800; 84.10 → 92.15 in its pressure case. The defensive-TD version keeps SEA DST Captain, JSN, Kelce and Myers, trading Darnold/Wilson for Walker/Butker: $46,900 → $47,900; 92.10 → 94.10 in that branch, while the no-return pressure case drops 89.10 → 85.10.

The retained 22-player pool supports 429,058 legal Captain-plus-five combinations per original case, including all modeled positions, zero/one/two QBs and both 4–2/5–1 orientations. Thirty-four other export players remain unmodeled, not assigned zero. Keyser’s Kupp/Barner touchdown allocations remain a supported comparison, with more concentrated finishing assumptions. Own-case advantages are partly built into those authored allocations.

JSN appears on all six cards. Walker appears on four cards. Kelce and Myers each appear on five. The same missing catches or rushing work can affect different stories together. Current ownership, lineup duplication and outside point projections are unknown; historical salary-file averages cannot replace them.

Holani’s recent pass-protection work did not become catches; Seattle’s overtime snaps are not an ordinary-game denominator. Wiley is active for the first time this year, giving KC four available tight ends; that establishes availability, not target volume or a Kelce snap restriction.

French Press: previous public model scores
